This policy explains how Stepwise Care CIC ("Stepwise Care", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal information, and the rights you have over it. Stepwise Care CIC is a community interest company registered in England & Wales (company number 16705298), at Ithaca House, 27 Romford Road, London E15 4LJ. What we collect

When you contact us — through the form on this site or by email — we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and whatever you choose to put in your message.

If your enquiry is about a circulation screening or other care, you may choose to share details about your health. Health information is treated as "special category" data under UK data protection law, and we handle it with extra care and use it only to help with your request.

Like most websites, our host also keeps basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and to keep the site running, and we use a small number of cookies (see below).

How we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange appointments, and provide the services you ask for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you, and taking steps at your request to provide a service.
• Where you share health information, our basis for using it is your explicit consent together with the provision of health care (Articles 6 and 9 of the UK GDPR).
• To meet legal or regulatory obligations, where these apply.

We do not sell your information, and we will not use your details for marketing without your consent.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice. Our contact page also includes an embedded Google Map, which may set cookies and share your IP address with Google when it loads. The banner at the bottom of the site lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to:

• Netlify hosts this website and processes messages sent through our contact form. Netlify is based in the United States and handles your data under appropriate safeguards.
• Google provides the web fonts and the embedded map; loading these may involve Google receiving your IP address.
• Health professionals or services, where this is needed to provide care you have asked for, or where we are required to share information by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your request and any reasonable follow-up, after which we delete it. Where information forms part of a clinical or care record, we keep it in line with the relevant professional retention guidance.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable form.
